I am sending a gentle reminder about the Wooster Square's 52nd Cherry Blossom Festival which takes place this year on Sunday April 19 from 12noon to 4:30pm and features once again a ‘picnic like’ environment with live music and food trucks. If your organization is interested in participating this year in the Engagement Zone for non-profit Arts & Culture Organizations, please complete the attached registration form and return it to me along with your logo. The deadline for registration is no later than March 25, 2026 - a little later than we first noted. Please let me know if you have any questions. The Cherry Blossom Festival is an annual community celebration to honor the important historical significance that our cherry blossom trees bring as a part of the New Haven community. We anticipate over 8,000 people for this in-person event in New Haven’s historic Wooster Square Park. The Cherry Blossom Festival also designates different Zones in the park - with opportunities for visitors to enjoy exciting Children’s activities, learn about Wooster Square's Italian Heritage, meet our Major Sponsors, and engage within the Arts & Culture Engagement Zone where visitors can learn more about and get involved with you, Greater New Haven’s non-profit arts and culture organizations!
The Engagement Zone’s goal is to widely promote non-profit arts & culture organizations in the greater New Haven area - especially recognizing the impact both the pandemic and federal cutbacks have had on arts and culture programs. The Cherry Blossom Festival is offering a dedicated space with a table and 2 chairs to showcase your organization. You can use this opportunity to sign people up for emails and marketing, recruit volunteers, solicit donations/gifts, and showcase specialized arts or cultural activities in your space during the hours of the Festival. Thanks to generous sponsorship from Yale University, there is no fee for your participation. The Engagement Zone and its participants will also be featured in some of the Cherry Blossom Festival’s promotional efforts.
