I was previously an intelligence analyst for NZ Police for 3 years, through this work I prepared and delivered daily reports for hundreds of staff at multiple levels, this including but was not limited to,
-Staffing levels, -Finances, -Internal processes and changes, -Safety, -Forecasting, -Local, regional and global trends, -And many more.
Below is a basic overview of previous work I have completed vs the committees selected.
Financial - included budgeting, potential upcoming unforeseen costs, forecasting models and more. This work was undertaken under timeframes ranging from daily needs to 10 year forecasting. One such report produced was for outfitting one building with solar panels, the cost, payback, profit value and forecasting. This also led to the inclusion of the report for all future buildings/outfitting existing infrastructure with solar and the depletion of generators for backup power.
Resource development - included sharing information, concepts, collaboration and changes between different workgroups and external partners. I regularly worked with external partners to create/update MOU (memorandums of understanding) and to collaborate on areas of mutual interest. This helped to foster relationships between government departments and private industry.
Outreach and member retention - By ensuring each workgroup received timely and appropriate information regarding their workflow and introducing them to internal/external members with information to share. This ensured members knowledge was felt across different workgroups and helped bridge connections between different 'silos'. This also helped members join other workgroups and move into areas of expertise they didn't otherwise consider.
DEI - I learned the needs, wants, interests, skills, knowledge and experiences of individual staff, ensuring they were given intelligence that was engaging but would also foster understanding between all staff. The 250 staff I reported to were from all walks of life with a wide range of experience I could draw from and incorporate.
Education - I sought to offer ongoing education to members through targeted, useful content, while encouraging them to branch out into other areas of interest. My reports were wide ranging, with global trends, technological updates and policy changes which allowed them to stay current while also fostering a future looking mindset.
Outside of this I was also involved in production, repairs, small business, supply chain and others prior to Policing. I have worked in several different industries over the past 25 years and bring a solution-based mindset to my work.
