Smart Snippets / SMSNIPPETS-3 v >=2.1.4 Requires Java 11 Issue Type: Bug Assignee: Unassigned Created: 16/Mar/20 3:58 PM Environment: Magnolia 6.1.4, Smart Snippets 2.1.4/2.1.5 Priority: Critical Reporter: Chris Jennings I am trying to incorporate Smart Snippets into a Magnolia 6.1.4 project and have received the error: Caused by: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: nl/info/magnolia/smartsnippets/setup/SmartSnippetsModuleVersionHandler has been compiled by a more recent version of the Java Runtime (class file version 55.0), this version of the Java Runtime only recognizes class file versions up to 52.0 (unable to load class [nl.info.magnolia.smartsnippets.setup.SmartSnippetsModuleVersionHandler]) I run Java 8 to ensure anything I build will run in the Magnolia Certified Stack. Is this move to Java 11 a deliberate decision? Thanks! Add Comment
