template-annotations API not working

I am playing around with @magnolia/react-editor.

doing so i wanted to fetch the Template Definions via the SPA templating API.

a call to http://localhost:8080/.rest/template-definitions/v1/mtk:components/textImage

works like a charm and returns 

{"mtk:components/textImage":{"dialog":"mtk:components/textImage","templateScript":"/mtk/templates/components/textImage.ftl","name":"textImage","id":"mtk:components/textImage","type":"content","renderType":"freemarker"}}

but http://localhost:8080/.rest/template-annotations/v1/mtk:components/textImage only

returns 

{"error":{"code":"notFound","message":"Node with path 'mtk:components/textImage' cannot be found."}}

I use Magnolia DXCore with Version 6.2.18. 

Do i have to 'activate the template-annotations enpoint somehow ?

Hi Jens,

The API works differntly - it takes the path of the page rather than the id of a template.

If you have not - I'd recommend checking out this tutorial/demo project:
