We are looking for at least one intern to join our Fuels and Industry InTegrated Optimization model (FINITO) team and I was wondering if the following opening could be of interest to researchers in your group or affiliated groups.

Briefly, we are looking to identify viable decarbonization strategies for the industrial sector, which is the hardest to decarbonize and projected to be the primary emitter ~2035. For that, we have developed FINITO: A large-scale optimization model which integrates the fuels, electricity, emissions, and industry infrastructures, with facility-level detail across most infrastructures. We are actively conducting model development and policy analysis, and we are looking for intern(s) who could contribute and are interested in learning more about energy-industry interactions.

Interested students are welcome to reach out to me for more information: Charalamp...@nrel.gov.
