Hi everyone,

We worked on an open source models tracker that on a weekly basis collects adoption indicators from 200+ open source energy/grid modelling frameworks. Learn more about it from David’s (BE-GRIDS) LinkedIn post: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/davidpaolella_rapidly-expanding-and-decarbonizing-the-grid-activity-7374816975161663488-wQ1P

This work is a living organism & was just developed within 8 weeks or so. If you feel a model is misrepresented, or something can improve, please create issues on the github repository.

Next phase of this activity is to figure out a way to quantify the feature gap between various OS tools and proprietary solutions. This will require some more work to be “BETA” release ready (maybe 3-6month). Let us know if you can collaborate here. Stay tuned!

Best wishes,

Max
