Dear MES Community,

The EDF Economics Team is pleased to announce a special Multi-Country Electricity Transition (MCET) Pre-COP 30 Seminar Series featuring recent research advances from our network. The Multi-Country Electricity Transition (MCET) network is a collaborative initiative that supports researchers and institutions across Asia, the Americas, and Africa in developing and applying SWITCH energy planning models to inform their countries' clean energy transitions. Through technical support and small grants, MCET enables teams to enhance modeling capabilities, share methodologies, and generate policy-relevant insights for decarbonizing electricity systems.

To accommodate our global community, we will host two parallel sessions on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. We will present an overview of the MCET project, followed by two research presentations showcasing recent grant outcomes, and conclude with a discussion on network achievements, challenges, and opportunities for strengthening our collective role in addressing the energy transition.
