Hi MES,

I have two requests related to INFORMS Atlanta (Oct 26-29).

First, I am organizing a session on Modeling for Energy Transition in Africa. I could use one or two more speakers for my hybrid flash session (5 minute talks followed by in depth discussions at posters). If you have work on Africa you’d like to share, please let me know.

Second, I have a talk I would like to present. If it will fit into your session, let me know. The talk is related to pollution disparities related to US carbon capture policies.

Hi MES,

I want to join this email chain of Erin and add that I am also chairing a talk session ( instead of a flash session) in the Decision Analysis Society (DAS) cluster, cross-listed with ENRE, at the INFORMS Conference in Atlanta (Oct 26-29). The description of my session is below. If you think your work has DA methodologies and applications and want to join my session, please contact me as soon as possible.

Description of my talk session
Title: Entrepreneurial and Analytics Path for Decisions: Policy, Energy, Water, and Innovations
Chair: Christian Hernandez-Negron

I would love to see my session include topics that involve identifying gaps in the market within energy and water, developing an innovative solution broadly speaking, including energy technologies, efficiency systems, management tools, and, to some degree, future commercialization or implementation. Note that the talks should include a focus on sustainability and addressing climate change concerns while navigating policies or regulations; thus, solving analytics problems through forecasting and optimization methods, efficiency, and integration, energy policy work, innovation, and building partnerships with diverse players that foster a strong focus on technological analytic advancement to stay competitive.

Sincerely,

Christian
