Registration is now open for the ArchivesSpace Virtual Member Forum!

This community-driven virtual member forum is a free two-day event spanning time zones and ArchivesSpace experience levels. Anyone from an ArchivesSpace member organization is welcome to attend but registration is required.

 

Where:

Virtual, via Zoom. 

 

Who Can Attend:

Registration is available to all individuals from ArchivesSpace member institutions only. 

  • Registration is required for each session.
  • Links to register for each session can be found at the beginning of that session's agenda.
  • You will receive a confirmation with the link for each session you register for. 
  • Registering for one session guarantees a spot in that session only.  You must register for each session separately.

 

When:  

Session A: March 26, 2025, 1pm-3pm UTC - Find your local time

Session B: March 26, 2025, 5pm-7pm UTC - Find your local time

Session C: March 27, 2025, 3pm-6pm UTC - Find your local time

 

Sessions will be recorded and available to participants on the Virtual Member Forum wiki in the weeks following the forum.

SUBMIT A PROPOSAL:

Active participation of the ArchivesSpace community makes this event a success. Proposals for presentations or facilitated discussions related to our theme Maximizing Access to Archival Collections with ArchivesSpace will be reviewed and accepted on a rolling basis until March 3, 2025. Use this form to submit a proposal.

 

Examples of relevant topics could include:

  • Workflows and tips for data cleanup projects
  • Python and API use for beginners
  • Managing digital objects in ArchivesSpace
  • Archival labor: How does your institution let student workers/interns/volunteers interact with ArchivesSpace to help process collections?
  • Pros and cons of self-hosting versus using a hosting service
  • Demonstrations of plugins or tools you’ve developed to make your work in ArchivesSpace more efficient
  • Using ArchivesSpace features such as Events, Space Calculator, etc.
