11th Annual ArchivesSpace Member Forum Call for Proposals

We are thrilled to be holding our 11th Annual ArchivesSpace Member Forum in person at the Hilton Anaheim in Anaheim, CA, on August 24, 2025, from 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM PT.

An active and engaged community of users is one of ArchivesSpace’s greatest strengths and we look forward to seeing you for this in-person meeting.  If you plan to attend the member forum this year, we strongly encourage you to submit a presentation proposal.

Please use the form below to submit a short proposal, no more than 250 words, about a topic, initiative, problem, question, idea, or program you are working on or thinking about. All proposal submissions are welcome.

There is a short Google form for proposals available at https://forms.gle/2gKpdiJNWMKGU1bz9. Proposals will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The last day that proposals will be accepted is July 14, 2025, and all presenters will be notified by July 15, 2025.

Voting for Medium Level Representative on the Governance Board Opens Soon

The ArchivesSpace governance model is built on the principles of maintaining a high level of community engagement and fostering an active and responsive community. It provides opportunities for all levels of our membership to participate in and provide guidance for the development of the ArchivesSpace application and community activities.

This year we have one open position on the Governance Board, for the representative for institutions at the Medium membership level. The elected person will serve a three-year term from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2028. Each member organization at the Medium level will get one vote in this election and we expect to open voting next week. The Voting Member we have on record for each eligible organization will be sent a link to their ballot via email once voting opens. If you have any questions about this election, please let Christine Di Bella know at christin...@lyrasis.org.

A big thank you to all those who have volunteered to serve, and thanks in advance to everyone for voting.

Membership Renewals for 2025-2026

ArchivesSpace is developed by and for the community that uses it, and strengthened by services and activities that support our community and connect us to one another. ArchivesSpace membership is our primary source of revenue and informs and sustains every aspect of the program, including software development, support and engagement. A special thanks to all of our members for all they do to make ArchivesSpace possible.

Invoices for the 2025/2026 membership term will be sent to the billing contact we have on file for each organization in early May. If you are a member and not sure of your billing contact or if your billing contact has changed, please let us know.

If you have any questions, or if you would like to join as a new member for the remainder of the 2024-2025 membership year (or already know you would like to join us in 2025-2026), please let us know at Archives...@lyrasis.org. We look forward to another year of working together.
