Issues with DOs on bulk import templates

Hello everyone,

I'm having some issues with the new bulk import templates that allow you to create digital objects with multiple file versions. I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same, or if it's something I'm doing wrong?

We're on ArchivesSpace v3.5.0. I'm using the bulk import templates as downloaded from within AS.

I tried using the 'Bulk Import DO XLSX' template to create a digital object with two file versions linked to an existing archival object. The digital object was created and linked to the archival object, but the created DO had no file versions. There was no error message in the background job log.

I also tried the 'Bulk Import AO XLSX' template to create an archival object with a linked digital object that has two file versions. This time, the archival object was created but the digital object was not. I got the following error:

Row 6: ERROR undefined method `start_with?' for true:TrueClass
Row 6: ERROR Cannot create the digital object
The file has been processed

I've tried this a few times, using both the xlsx and csv versions of the templates, and the result is always the same. I've attached a couple of example spreadsheets.

Is anyone else experiencing this, or can anyone shed any light? I'd be grateful for any help!

At IISH we use the combination of Resource URI (res_uri) and Archival Object REF ID (ao_ref_id) to import and link digital objects, without any issue. Here an example:

Hi Rebekah, 

We're also having issues with using the updated DO bulk import template but specifically with the multiple file version information [column K-AF]. We're running ArchivesSpace v3.3.1. Our Aspace does recognize the import when we only fill out the Resource URI column, however, only the Basic Information is imported and none of the File version information.

I tested Erhan's suggestion to add both the Resource URI and ao REF ID (as well as a Resource URI and ao URI combo), this did not resolve the File version information importing into our Aspace instance. Erhan, what version of Aspace are you on?
