ValidationException error exporting staff-side pdf; EAD validates

Hi all!

I have run into an issue with exporting PDF of a finding aid (specifically from the staff side; the PUI pdf export works fine). We are running v3.4.1. The salient part of the error is:

org.apache.fop.fo.ValidationException: Missing attribute on fo:basic-link: Either external-destination or internal-destination must be specified. (See position 1109:88)

I think this is the relevant line of the stylesheet.

Both the EAD2002 and EAD3 exports (I'm not sure which is used for the staff-site pdf) are well-formed and validate against the schema without issue, so I'm stumped as to what is going on. I'm attaching them to this message.

Hi Martha,

 

I think it’s because you have a <ref> tag instead of an <extref> in the section of the collection-level Scope and Contents note for Series 10.  You’ll need to fix that in the Series 10 Scope and Contents note itself as well.
