Hi colleagues,

Before I reach out to our hosts or write this off as the cost of using an unsupported plug-in, just wanted to see if anyone else was running into general weirdness around the LC NAF/SH importer plug-in lately. We just updated to ASpace 4.2 and the importer is working (for the most part, although we’ve had noticeable downtime due to bot activity) but there are some UI issues. Has anyone else run into these?

The one actual functional bug appears to be that if you select a record to import, you cannot delete it from the list of terms to be imported. Clicking on the trash can icon next to the term just triggers the import process. Also, adding a term does not get rid of the “no results selected” text, which I would expect it to.

The UI issues:

The default display appears to be showing the MARC XML, which previously was hidden behind the “show record” button. And that green “selected” button-that-isn’t-a-button appears by default even when no records are selected.

And the text on the “next” button at the bottom of the search results isn’t displaying properly, either, although it does work when clicked.

The importer does work most of the time, so none of this is entirely preventing our archivists from working in ASpace, but I would like to know if these things are known side effects of migrating to 4.2, if whoever maintains the importer (?) is aware, or if anyone else has successfully fixed these things themselves or through their hosts.

Thanks!
