ASpace v3.50 isolated indexing failures

Happy Friday all,

We have been experiencing an error with the re-indexing process in ArchivesSpace (v3.50). 

The past two times we have run the re-indexing job on the server, a set of locations have failed to be indexed, meaning they become "invisible" in the UI. It is a straight run of 39 locations added sequentially to the database (all at different times and by different users). Locations created both before and after these records are indexed correctly. 

The only solution we have at this point is to manually access the locations via their exact URL, open the record and click "Save," at which point they are manually indexed and become visible in the UI again. Obviously, this is a bit tedious and it is difficult to identify missing records unless someone specifically goes looking for them.

Has anyone had an experience like this? Is this a known bug in ASpace 3.50?

We have a similar problem where an entire repo goes away. Same fix – put the exact URL in and save it.

 

Pretty reliably happens after a significant version update, but every now and then, it pops up for no discernible reason.

 

I do not have a fix. Sorry for the disappointing end to that story.

Try emptying the deleted_records table, sounds like that could be the problem.
