Bulk Export of PDFs/MARC XML

I didn't think ahead and I'm wondering if there is a way to same me some time. Over the past year I've added over 150 resources to ASpace from old inventories and finding aids. I didn't realize at the time that I can only download one PDF or MARC record at a time and was planning to download them all at the end. Well now I've reached the end and I don't see a way to download everything at once.

Does anyone know of a way to batch export these files?

Hi Heidi,

I don't think there's any batch PDF export functionality in ASpace, and given perf concerns, I doubt such would really be feasible without a lot of changes to core.  What we do at Harvard and what I've seen other places is using the API to go through all records and download the PDFs for each.  

I don't know if anyone's got a pre-existing script - I can pull some code out of our script that stuffs PDFs into S3 as a cache if you want, if having an example script (python) would help.

I’m very late to this conversation, but just wanted to pop-in to say thank you Laurin for suggesting the ASpace Batch Exporter we made here at UGA! Heidi, if you need any help setting it up, please feel free to reach out. It has a feature to “Export All” the collections from a specific repository (or every repository if desired) in PDF, as well as EAD, MARCXML, and Container Labels.
