Dear ArchivesSpace members,
Don’t forget to join us on January 13, 2026, at 12:00pm-1:00pm EST (find your local time) to contribute to a discussion with Yale University on enhancements to ArchivesSpace they would like to contribute back to the core code of the application.
Building on their December 8th presentation at our webinar on community enhancement projects currently in development, Alicia Detelich and Mary Kidd of Yale University would like to hear directly from the member community about the changes they would like to contribute to the community. These changes include improving the make representative functionality in the Digital Objects module of ArchivesSpace, support for a IIIF viewer within the application, and CSV export refactoring.
Since these changes impact current functionality in the application, we encourage all members to review the webinar linked above and attend this discussion session to provide your own feedback and use cases. Yale has also provided a feedback form for those unable to attend the discussion or who would like to provide their feedback another way.
This discussion will not be recorded, and attendance is open to individuals from ArchivesSpace member organizations only. Attendees will need to register using an email address affiliated with an ArchivesSpace member organization. Only ArchivesSpace members contribute directly to the sustainability of the application. In acknowledgement of this support, they have the opportunity to impact the direction of development of the application through discussions like this, member polls, and serving on our various governance groups. If you have questions about ArchivesSpace membership for your organization, please feel free to email us at Archives...@lyrasis.org.
Registration information for this discussion can be found below.

Dear ArchivesSpace users,
We are very pleased to announce that the ArchivesSpace application has been translated into its sixth language, Ukrainian.
This translation of the application was provided as a community contribution through the browser-based translation tool Weblate. We intend to make this translation available in the next release of ArchivesSpace. For now, you can test and explore this translation at test.archivesspace.org. This test instance of ArchivesSpace contains all ongoing development work and may contain bugs or otherwise not look exactly like a formal release of ArchivesSpace but if you’re interested in reviewing the translation, you’re welcome to do so by logging in with the username admin and the password admin.
We are very grateful to our colleague, Laura Sinhur, for volunteering her time and expertise to contribute this translation and helping us formalize our processes around using Weblate to make translations of the application easier for community members to contribute. Laura serves as the outreach advocate & representative to the Northeast region of the United States at Lyrasis and has an extensive archival background, having worked in corporate archiving and museum curation for eight years. She has in-depth knowledge in digital preservation of at-risk cultural heritage, particularly in areas of conflict and is a long-standing volunteer with SUCHO (Saving Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Online).
The ArchivesSpace application has now been translated into English, French, German, Japanese, Spanish, and Ukrainian. If you would like to help translate the ArchivesSpace application into another language, we would love to work with you! Please email us at Archives...@lyrasis.org.
