Cannot delete records using API

Hi everyone,

I am trying to delete a set of records using the API, but I have been running into errors. My account is an admin account and, as far as I can tell from the documentation, has the correct permissions.

When I try to delete a record I get a 400 error. I thought this might be localized to the type of record I was working with (location), but I found that it is affecting other record types as well. When I used options to see what types of methods I can use delete isn't listed. We're self-hosted, so I've reported the problem to the folks who manage that, but I wanted to just see if there might be something obvious I'm missing,
