Dear ArchivesSpace members,
The ArchivesSpace program team is excited to announce that registration is now open for the 12th annual ArchivesSpace Member Forum. This year’s forum will be held on July 29, 2026, from 9:00am-12:30pm, in New Orleans, Louisiana, at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans.
This community-driven member forum is a free half-day event open to anyone affiliated with an ArchivesSpace member institution. While this event is free, registration is required. Breakfast will be provided.
Just as in previous years, this will be a free opportunity for staff from ArchivesSpace member institutions to meet and share information with each other and the program team, but this year’s forum will be a little different. This year, we will be joined by Bridget Almas, Director of Community Supported Technologies at Lyrasis, for a facilitated discussion on AI. In this discussion, we hope to hear from you about your organization’s AI related policies, your experiences and concerns about using AI in the archives, and how you see AI intersecting with ArchivesSpace. In order to facilitate open discussion, this year’s forum will not be recorded.
More information about the discussion will be provided closer to the event but you can register at any time or learn more on the event wiki.
Feel free to contact the ArchivesSpace team at Archives...@lyrasis.org with questions. We look forward to seeing many of you there!
