ArchivesSpace-Preservica Integration - publishing DOs automatically?

Hi everyone, 

Trying not to get too in the weeds with how I ask this but bear with me. 

We have finally gotten the hang of bulk uploading with the ArchivesSpace-Preservica Integration. This involves a lot of opex files and batch uploading that I barely understand, but we're getting there. I am successfully uploading files with selected metadata and linking them to ArchivesSpace where the integration automatically creates and links Digital Objects. 

The problem is that all the digital objects are unpublished. I just uploaded and linked about 250 objects today and every single DO will have to be manually checked twice to published the DO and the appropriate link.

My system default in ArchivesSpace is to publish, so changing that setting is not the solution. 

Has anyone else run into this? Is it something in the digital object opex file I should include or change? The opex files are created using macros in Excel, but I could try to manipulate them to include additional text...

Hi Kendall

I'd check the ASpace mapping in Preservica (Admin->Schema Management->XML Docs) to see if the publish field for the DOs is set to true or false. You'll probably want this set to true. There are a bunch of places to change in that doc if I recall correctly. I'd also review that mapping doc to make sure the other types of objects and subrecords are setting the publish field to what you want and make sure those settings don't conflict.
