Updated field labels not showing up in UI

Hi everyone,

 

I am working on setting up our ArchivesSpace instance, currently trying to customize text in the staff user interface.

 

I’m running into issues getting the changes I make to the locales/en.yml file to reflect in the user interface. I have updated some of the labels for the user-defined Controlled Value fields:

 

 

But after restarting ArchivesSpace (and even quitting/reopening my browser, clearing my cache, etc), the default labels still show up in ASpace:

 

 

I haven’t run into any similar issues with the updates I’ve made to locales/enums/en.yml – those translations are showing up just fine in the UI.

 

We’re on v3.5.1. I’m quite new to the administration side of ArchivesSpace, so it’s possible there’s something obvious that I’m missing!

Maybe it's on the wrong level? I can't tell by that screenshot. It needs to be in the right place in /frontend/locales/en.yml

That is, Resources have one, Accession have one and so on. Hopefully this formatting holds over email:

en:

  resource:

    user_defined: &user_defined_attributes

      boolean_2: This is a form

  accession:

    user_defined: &user_defined_attributes

      boolean_2: This is a form
