Hello,

We are using a scripted process to generate digital objects in ASpace which link to our assets in Preservica. The process creates one digital object with two links, one to the staff interface and one to the public interface, both unpublished by default. Our intention was publish the public links via the bulk update spreadsheet, but the spreadsheet only shows the first, private link. Does anyone have experience with bulk updating digital objects like this? Or happen to know what the spreadsheet id for a second link would be?

Sincere Thanks,
Aidan Canner (Nebraska State Historical Society)

Hi Aidan,

We aren't preservica users, but we use DAOs with multiple file version subrecords. I haven't found a way to manage more than the 1st file version subrecord via the update spreadsheet, so we've resorted to the API for similar needs. Curious to see if this is a common use case and if others have figured out ways to get the bulk spreadsheet to work. It could be worth submitting a feature request if this is a limitation of the bulk update spreadsheet.

In the meantime, I'd be happy to share a python script that we used to bulk update the publication state of file versions.

Dalton,

I would really appreciate a look at that script.

Thanks,
