Hi all!

We here at the University of Illinois are learning more about accessions and how they function in ArchivesSpace. Our question concerns the Processing Status field in the Collection Management section of accessions and reports. Why is it when you mark the processing status as “Completed”, the accession is not actually considered completed in the system and still shows up in the “Unprocessed Accessions” Reports? Why is this?

We appreciate all of your insights!

Sarah,

We ran into this same issue several years back. As far as I know, the only way to have an accession not show up on the Unprocessed Accessions report is to add a “Processed” event for that accession.

Tiffany, thank you for your insights!

All,

Does anyone know why this would be? To us, it makes the most sense that marking something as completed would be enough for it to be considered completed, instead of having to go through even more steps?

Has anyone found a way around this??
