ASpace: "Finding Aid Published?" unchecked by default

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has had success with making the box for "Finding Aid Published?" unchecked by default in a new ASpace resource records (the little box for finding aid STATUS, within the resource record, under the finding aid section). 

I am not having any luck finding this in my available settings or in the Help Center. Thank you for your help!

Hi Aimee,

To make this change you need to have BOTH of the following done:

1. When you're in Browse > Resource, you need to go to Edit Default Values and uncheck that box.

2. You need to have "Pre-populate Records?" checked under the Default Repository Preferences (drop down arrow next to your account in the upper right corner). Individuals *can* overwrite these preferences for their own accounts, however, but they'd need to know where to go to change it so hopefully that wouldn't be an issue.
