data/tmp Folder Not Emptying

When I logged onto our AS server, I noticed a lot more memory being taken up than should have been. Upon looking into the AS files, I found the data/tmp folder had risen to 8.65 GB. There are items in there since Aug 2024 - the last time I had to manually purge this folder. I am a novice at this for sure, but what would be preventing a tmp file from emptying? I restart the AS app once a week and restart the server once a month.

The directory does not automatically delete though any processes run by ArchivesSpace. If you want to regularly delete the data there, you will have to either do so manually or create scripting to perform the operation.  Any cleanup should be done with ArchivesSpace shut down.

As long as AS is shut down when you do it, then, yes, you should be able to remove everything in the directory.
