Good afternoon everyone,
We're working on moving to 4.2 , this will be a fresh install and have run into a minor issue.
The decision was made that while we learn how to work with Docker, we'll do the manual version of the update. In our Dev environment, we cannot see the daemon running on the desktop to show service running. Previously, we would see the daemon running.  Do we need a connector to run dbupdate or clone the db in some way?
We have followed the included install instruction but are getting an error when the database tries to start. We are running:
windows 2022
aws corretto 21
.net 4.8 confirmed
.jar for connector exist in \lib folder
prun... exist at root of archivesspace folder

The only thing we haven't done is a local install of mysql.

Has anyone else made this type of jump and encountered this issue? Any recommendations for fixing this and getting the new version up and running?

We appreciate the help,

Mariette

I never run anything Windows, so I'm not sure what it means to not see the daemon running.
And then just did the "docker compose up" ? You shouldn't need to do anything other than that to get a Dev site going.

Sorry for not responding sooner. We were able to locate the issue. It turns out we are running a 64-bit server, but the files for manual set-up of ArchivesSpace have a 32-bit wrapper. Because the daemon was looking for the 64-bit wrapper, it could not run with the included wrapper.

We recreated the wrapper using the NSSM application/file in order to get ArchivesSpace up and running.

We did try downloading the manual files more than once and confirmed that the files always came with the 32-bit wrapper even though instructions are for a 64-bit environment.
