ArchivesSpace Sync Issues?

Hi all!

I am working in archivesspace, and have run into my edits (staff interface) not syncing to the public interface. Has anybody experienced that, and if so, have any tips on how to resolve it? 

I haven't received any error messages, and upon checking (and re-checking) the staff interface, all my edits are still viewable to me!

Hi Ani,

What you describe sounds like a classic indexing issue. The solution is to ask whoever manages your instance to re-index: https://docs.archivesspace.org/administration/indexes/

If that doesn’t resolve your issue, then something more serious is at fault, but try that first.

Depending on the version you are on, this may also be an indexer miss - especially if the changes show in the tree in the PUI, but not in the actual data about the object. Since the tree usually only shows the title, this can be a subtle error. This was fixed in 4.2.0, so if you are on that version and still seeing an issue, then its almost certainly the indexer being stuck like Valerie said.

One other thing that might be at play is indexer lag. If the collection you are editing is very large, the indexer may take a while to finish updating. But it sounds like this probably doesn't apply to your situation.
