At large - nothing to report

ByLaws Committee - we have met twice by Zoom and plan to meet again
today after this meeting.  We have moved our discussions between
meetings back to email because Cullene Lang was unable to participate on
Discord, and she has remained on the committee, contrary to what we said
at our last Board meeting about the possibility that she would be
resigning from the committee.

Branding:
* A less horizontal version of our logo and wordmark has been developed.
* A social medium template has been created to publicize events planned
for our hospitality suite in DC.

Materials:
* We have new button messages and a small supply of them that need to be
shipped: No Particular Order, No Human is Illegal, and Don't Register
your Garden.
* Buttons have been created for our table in DC, including 3 inch for
buttons for a small set of messages with the biggest words or the most
words.
* A new batch of T Shirts has been ordered. It uses a superseded draft
version of our less horizontal logo and wordmark.
* A commemorative 2024 Convention button has been designed and its
production has been outsourced, along with a diamond shaped LPRC logo
button.
* San Luis Peak has been updated.
http://stuff.radicalcaucus.org/resourcekittesting/mainmenu.html
* We have a new brochure available on our white template (Freedom to
Think).
* All white template brochures have had minor revisions and are now
available in CMYK to help with printing accurate colors.
* An experimental black template meant to be sufficiently close to the
brochures we printed in 2019 is in development for use in Scribus.
* Preview 5 of the in development materials and events guide (Colson
Mill) can be found at
http://stuff.radicalcaucus.org/2024/Colson_Preview_5_sRGB.pdf -- copies
have been printed to be sent to DC, but most are presently sitting in my
living room awaiting a destination.

Events:
* Two boxes of buttons, brochures, and stickers have been sent to Susan
Hogarth to be taken to the DC national convention.
* Tyler Danke is bringing button equipment and supplies to DC to make
more buttons as needed.
* Multiple people will be bringing supplies to use or redistribute in DC.
* James is needing someone to ship things to who leaves later than Susan
Hogarth.

Volunteer Support:
* There are no cases presently being handled.

My at-large report, which is again not at the level that I normally
provide. I'm still not up to my normal level of functionality but I'm
better than a week ago. Sorry about that.

I've started porting my work from Langdon Brook to San Luis Peak, the
first version of our resource kit that's still in development.

For those who don't remember or are new to this, this resource kit is
where to go to download PDFs of our trifold brochures, logo graphics,
button and sticker sheets, and pretty much all of the needed graphics to
do anything for the LPRC and stay within our branding.

This link is for a test build that's hard-coded to always be in dark
mode. There's also some accessibility improvements. Pending: high
contrast and forced color modes, which still need to be ported from
Langdon Brook.

http://stuff.radicalcaucus.org/sanluispeak_4714002/mainmenu.html

The regular, most current test version can normally be found at:

http://stuff.radicalcaucus.org/resourcekittesting/mainmenu.html

Once there is a stable version it will be found at:

http://stuff.radicalcaucus.org/resourcekit

As always, looking for people with skills with vector graphics and in
the case of someone who can pick up on the resource kit if necessary,
spreadsheet and Python skills.

My at-large report,

Does this message imply that there is a meeting today?

Perhaps we decided we didn't need one because the membership meeting is just one week away?

I did, just in case I missed something, try connecting using the Zoom info from the June meeting. I got "LPRC Board" and "This is a recurring meeting" (so apparently the correct meeting id) and "Waiting for the host to start the meeting" (11 minutes after the meeting would normally start), so it looks to me like whoever would be starting the meeting doesn't think there is one.

See you all next Sunday...

We were supposed to meet today mostly to plan for next week’s meeting. But I had technical issues and attendance was very light so I called it off at 5 after. Sorry I missed you!

James Gholston's Unsorted At Large items:
* 24x18 Chase signs. This sign was designed for Jim Fullner, who
ordered 100 of them. With a change of paid for by notice more can be
ordered. In addition to spending caucus funds, this could be funded by
one or more people as an in-kind contribution to LPRC (FEC definition of
in-kind), putting LP Radical Caucus in the paid for by notice. Before
shipping and taxes and not including H stakes, 100 24x18 signs ordered
from Dirt Cheap Signs are $250, 200 are $480, and 500 are $1100.

* In a pinch, a single color 24x9 dashboard sized version could be
created. 500 of these before shipping and taxes would be $600, 200 for
$242, and 100 for $122. For multiple reasons it might be good to spread
the cost around. I've done a sign listing multiple entities on the paid
for before in order to get a price break and to have a suitably large
supply.

* A 72x24 Chase banner has also been designed. Another of these can be
ordered if there's a use case and someone up for paying for it. As this
required a new template based on the sign templates, I also created
templates for 60x24 and 48x25 to match our existing set of banner
dimensions. Full sized from Banners on the Cheap before shipping and
taxes is $32.27, medium is $24.34, and small is $22.09. Remember that
shipping is usually the biggest expense here.

* Have started using Claude 3.5 Sonnet to fill out some of our pages in
the Things to Abolish on Dissent, although this is pushing the limits of
what Anthropic's usage policy will allow. These probably need review to
make sure that they're not more moderate than we would prefer in places.

Example: https://work.radicalcaucus.org/index.php?title=ATF

* Reminder that I have a template to crank out candidate signs on
request and can do so and have them ready to order somewhere quickly.
We do not have this template in the LPRC resource kit, but if anyone
wishes to request that I do, I can easily add it. Reminder that this is
an outreach template that's so far only been directly used once by LPRC,
in 2017 for End the Fed signs.

* Reminder that we have Stick to Principle stickers that were designed
for when our annual meeting was going to be in DC. QUESTION: should we
hold off on naming an annual meeting this until our 2026 convention when
we can give out physical stickers in person?

* Reminder that we need volunteers for our committees: Branding for
development of templates and checking our materials for consistency,
Materials for developing and producing our materials, Events for getting
people to events and materials sent to them for tabling and other
activities, Volunteer support for cases where we have people doing
things for LPRC who may be too destitute to pay our membership fee. We
also very much need to reconstitute our outreach committee.

Branding:
* Branding has nothing to report this time. Open action items include
fixing the incorrect branding on our website (help is needed to find
where the images are set on Nationbuilder so that they can be changed)
and our audio and animated logos.

Materials:
* As reported last month, I have some initial progress on backporting
dark, high contrast, and forced color modes to our resource kit.

* I've resumed work on LPRC sticker sheet sets, but don't have anything
to meaningfully show for this just yet.

Events:
See Tyler Danke and Eric Lund for information on recent event tables.

Volunteer Support:
* Volunteer support does not currently have any requests to handle. If
there's anyone needing help paying their $25 membership fee, this is the
place to ask.

This is going to be on the terse side again and may be missing some
information. Sorry about that.

Branding: New versions of the Black and White trifold brochure templates
have been created for Scribus 1.5.8+.

Materials: Work has resumed on updating brochures. As soon as they are
done, James hopes to return to work on completing Colson Mill and update
the presentation for our annual membership meeting.

Events: No new successes to report, unless Marc has something from the
Libertarian International annual conference.

Volunteer Assistance: No current cases.
