Two Major Events We Have An Opportunity to Cohost

Hi Everyone,

The LP is lucky to have an opportunity to cohost/participate in two major events early next year:

Andrew Watkins and I (with help from some other LP members) have been helping to coordinate an anti war protest in DC with the People's Party and Action for Assange. We've been going back and forth on the dates depending on permit availability, speakers and logistics, but it's looking like Presidents Day weekend (Feb 18th - 20th) will be the official event date. As we get more details ironed out, we'll present a proposal so that the event can have an official LNC endorsement/vote. I want to put it on your radar now so you'll be aware.

We're looking at collaborating with a few big names speakers with broad appeal, including Roger Waters, but we will definitely have some big name libertarians representing our values as well.

The other event is the Independent National Council (INC). Miguel Duque has attended a planning call with me to help me stay on top of this one. The INC is a coalition group of independents and minor parties that is dedicated to finding common ground and improving civic engagement. 

They would love for us to be officially represented with a Libertarian Party delegation group at their conference in Austin TX  April 3 - 5th. I've been invited to speak and I'll be cohosting some online modules prior to the big event and you will all be invited to attend some of those, check things out, and see if it aligns with our values. I'm really excited about some of the training opportunities for affiliates and candidates that will come out of this project. I'll make sure you all have plenty of information on it before I present a motion to officially involve the party or endorse the event in any capacity.

I think we will also have an opportunity to collaborate on ballot access petitions and lawsuits through the connections we make through the INC, which is great for 2024.
