I, along with Mr. Ford, would like to add the following discussion item (30 minutes) to the November 2022 LNC meeting in Austin TX:

Consider the sale of the Alexandria VA headquarters (Bowen/Ford)

Some discussion items as we see it:

1.) Do we need to be physically located in the greater Washington metropolitan area?
2.) Are we satisfied with parking access?
3.) Are we satisfied with the layout and meeting space?
4.) Are we satisfied with transportation accessibility?
5.) Discuss the recurring costs in maintaining HQ vs. the operating costs of alternatives.
6.) What is the cost benefit to the LNC to move HQ to a lower cost of living environment?
7.) Discuss staff operations currently being performed at HQ.
8.) Is it better financially to sell the building now or later?
9.) How could the proceeds from a sale be used regarding FEC rules and/or restricted funds?

If any LNC members would like to add questions or comments to the above list, please advise.

I'm concerned this is a lot at a budget meeting - you asked for 30 minutes in your email to me and I think we will barely stratch the surface.

Candidy, I think this is something better explored by a committee that reports back to the LNC.
