November’s financial report is enclosed, along with a summary of key points below. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!
Cash Position
Our cash position has rose to $163,000 on the strength of our third six-figure fundraising month in a row. This is 2x our cash reserve target, about $90K over the target, and the party is in good shape from a cash management perspective.
Revenue
We had a reasonably strong revenue month, coming in at $119K ($110K without convention revenue). Again, third straight month of six-figure revenue generation. Nice turnaround from earlier in the year.
Expense Analysis
Non-Convention expenses matched revenues for the month, coming in at $111K vs non-convention revenue of $110K. Within that number, we made our final payment for Maine ballot access petitioning, bringing us to a total of $43K for early ballot access petitioning and ballot access legal expense across five states so far this year.
We had some late-year GL adjustments, mostly associated with how our contractors/employees were being accounted for to make sure we were using the same methodology all year long:
$9,720 shifted from 8015 to 7000.3
$2,000 shifted from 8005 to 7000.81
$2,000 shifted from 8015 to 7000.81
$12,246.25 shifted from 8240 to 8190
There were a few other small GL cleanup actions taken to increase consistency in financials from pre/post accounting outsourcing.
Summary
Cash Reserve looks like it will remain strong through the end of the year, and going into the beginning of 2024.
Three straight six-figure revenue months, need to keep that going
Good expense, and cash, management by the staff
Related Party Transaction dollars should be correct (send me a note if they are not), I will be going through them in December to correct any membership errors (e.g. if you have upgraded to life member, etc.) Please send those to me directly, I know they have not been updated, I will be doing those with the December report. Thank you.
Thank you to the staff working with the new tools and new strategy. It has certainly paid off the past few months. Thank you!
