You are part of the problem, "Felicity".  Your company is fake, your practices are unethical, and you clearly don't even know who the hell you're emailing or you would have never emailed this list in the first place.

While I'm sure many of us agree with your sentiment, "Felicity McGee" is
almost undoubtedly a fake name and assuming the email address even
works, it's operated by a spammer who truly does not care (although now
that you've handed them your email address, you might start getting even
more spam).

why does this list allow non-subscribers to post?

As far as I can tell, this list doesn't ever get anything other than spam. I've stayed on it in case that changes, but it hasn't for a while, has it?
