All,

After rather more delay than I would have liked, we'll be releasing the Zigduino r2 next week. It has a number of improvements that many of you have requested:

-- All I/O brought out to an auxiliary header

-- Onboard battery charger & battery monitor

-- Board-mounted antenna, with a footprint for an MMCX connector for offboard antennas

-- Footprint & load capacitors for a watch crystal

-- D0/D1 attached to UART1; USB still connected to UART0

-- Arduino Uno R3 layout

-- Reset switch relocated to the side of the board

The Zigduino r2 variant is now in the Zigduino-1.0 tree (https://github.com/logos-electromechanical/Zigduino-1.0.git) but I haven't updated the tarballs yet. Here's the new product page: http://logos-electro.com/zigduino-r2/. It doesn't have a photo yet; I will have that up tomorrow evening. I'll put up the blog post then as well, because those really don't work without pictures.
