Hi Rich,

Thanks for introducing yourself to the device-dev list.
Unfortunately, we don't have a lot of folks there yet.

As we get closer to the volunteer meeting on the 24th, we're getting
more and more people to sign up to be on the new "Technology
committee", which will use this new technology@ mailing list that I
just created and am cc'ing. We may or may not want to continue using
device-dev in the future (I'm bcc'ing device-dev), but I want to start
with a broader group before breaking up the group into smaller lists.

By the 24th, we'll have all the new volunteers subscribed to this list
who signed up for the Technology committee (only 16 people signed up
so far), but today I've just invited you, Henri, Noirin, the devs who
have been contributing over the last few years, and a couple other
volunteers, including one to help with user tech support. Several of
them haven't yet accepted the invitation since I sent it out last
night, but I'm sure they will soon.

But with this small group that we have now, it would be great if we
could all discuss what we can do with the new volunteers who will show
up on the 24th -- whether they are interested in coding, testing,
documenting, or providing user supporting.
