START - Network outage at RATS repeater site

The RATS repeater site has lost Internet connectivity yet again.  Our Comcast Business Internet circuit failed around 2:15 AM, taking down network connectivity for the Fusion and DMR repeaters, as well as inbound and outbound tunnels for the AREDN system.

The Technical Committee will visit the repeater site as soon as possible to attempt a modem reboot, which has resolved connection issues in the past.  At this time there is no estimated time of resolution.

This is the fourth Comcast outage at the RATS repeater site in the last 30 days.  Most recently, we were down for 17.5 hours on 11/29 and 11/30/2023 due to an IP address lease renewal failure.

The cable modem was rebooted, restoring service at 3:02 PM.  The WIRES-X, DMR, and AREDN systems have returned to normal networked operation.

Total downtime was 12.5 hours.
