Hello Pirate Families and Happy "Last Day of School" Friday!!!

WOW! It’s hard to believe we’ve reached the end of another school year! It feels like just yesterday we were spending Friday nights together under the lights at Pirate Stadium, counting down to the December holiday break, or supporting our students during a Saturday Spaghetti Dinner.

As we pause to reflect on all we've shared and accomplished this year, there’s so much to be proud of. The experiences, memories, and relationships our students and families have created together are what make this community so special.

While this week has been filled with well-earned celebrations and preparations for summer break, it’s also been a time to honor what it means to be part of our Pirate Family. Over the past nine months, we've walked alongside each other — through challenges, through triumphs, and through countless everyday moments that define who we are.

For most of us, today is simply a “see you in August.” But for some, it’s a heartfelt “goodbye.” On Sunday, we celebrated our incredible Graduating Class of 2026, and today, we celebrate ten outstanding members of our staff who are retiring. These individuals have given decades of service, dedication, and love to Pinckney — and their legacy will forever be part of our story.

Please join me in extending our deepest gratitude and best wishes to the following Pirates as they sail into retirement. Thank you for everything you’ve given to this district and this community. 🏴‍☠️♥️

While we’ll be taking a short break from sharing school-related updates to give our students, staff, and families time to fully enjoy summer, we’ll be back in touch over the coming months with important information, including key dates for August registration and orientation events.

Please mark your calendars: The first day of school for students is Monday, August 24.

Throughout the summer, our Central Office will remain open to the public, but please know that the office will be closed on Fridays in July, starting with July 3. My team and I will be available and happy to assist with any questions, needs, or concerns that may arise, so don’t hesitate to reach out.

Thank you for all of the support, encouragement, involvement and feedback we have received throughout the year as the success of our students is greatly dependent on our ability to work shoulder to shoulder and this community continues to demonstrate the pride and unity it takes for our kiddos to be safe, healthy and successful! Have an amazing summer and as always, GO PIRATES!! 🏴‍☠️♥️🏴‍☠️🖤
