Hello Pirate Families and Happy "Who wants spaghetti?" Friday!
As we’ve shared in previous communications, we are thrilled to host our annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser tomorrow at PCHS, alongside the Pinckney Business Expo. This special event is a wonderful opportunity to showcase our talented Pirate musicians from grades 6–12, while also giving local businesses a chance to demonstrate their support for our district and community.
The festivities kick off at 1:00 PM with the 6th Grade Pathfinder Orchestra and will conclude at 5:30 PM with the PCHS Symphonic Band (full schedule provided below). We hope to see many of you tomorrow to enjoy a warm plate of delicious spaghetti, featuring homemade sauce prepared by our very own PCS chefs, Chris and Bart, and to cheer on our Pirates as they perform for the community! 🏴☠️🍝🎻

I am excited to introduce our new PCS Transportation Director, Crystal Walker, who officially stepped into her leadership role this week. She succeeds Michael Breitenbecher, who was recently promoted to lead director for our entire county. We are incredibly grateful for Mike’s time with PCS as his leadership helped build a strong culture and a team of drivers who have performed exceptionally, even amidst the challenges many districts face with transportation. We wish him all the best as he begins his new role at LESA.
We are equally thrilled to welcome Crystal as our new Director. With 12 years of experience at PCS as both a driver and dispatcher, she is exceptionally prepared for this role. I am confident she will continue to serve our community with dedication, ensuring the best possible transportation experience for our students and families.
Congratulations to both Mike and Crystal and as always, GO PIRATES!🏴☠️

During the recent holiday season, Mrs. Sweeney’s PCHS Marketing class, alongside the Class of 2027, came together to collect an incredible 1,250 pairs of shoes. These shoes will be distributed to small villages around the world, while also preventing 1,250 pairs from ending up in landfills.
As part of the project, our marketing students planned, promoted, and executed their own collection events. From classroom competitions and drive-thru drop-offs to collections at sporting events and even a community event in the town square, they demonstrated creativity, leadership, and teamwork every step of the way.
Thank you to the students, parents, teachers, and staff who generously donated. This effort is yet another example of how our Pirates continue to make a meaningful difference, both locally and globally. Way to go, Pirates! 🏴☠️👟🖤

As we close out the month of February, we are hopeful that we’re entering the final stretch of winter. The recent warm, sunny days have been a welcome reminder that spring is on the horizon. This time of year can feel long for students, and adults alike, which makes the chance to shed the winter coats, open the windows, and enjoy some fresh air especially refreshing.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child’s education. We truly couldn’t do this work without you.
Have a wonderful weekend, and as always… GO PIRATES!! 🏴☠️🖤🏴☠️♥️
