Supporting Your Student's PCHS Course Selections this Week

Parents/Guardians of Current 8th-11th Graders, 

This week, your student is tasked with filling out their Course Selection Sheet for the 2026-27 school year, which includes a signature from you!

Here are some key, upcoming steps in the course selection process and resources to support your support of your student: 

9th-11th Graders

This Friday, March 6, 9th-11th graders will enter their course requests into MiStar with guidance from their Seminar teacher. Then next week, PCHS Counselors will meet 1:1 with 9th-11th graders during their Math class to review their course selections, ensuring they meet graduation requirements and align with their educational development plan (EDP), or in other words, their plans for after high school. 

8th Graders

This Friday, March 6, 8th graders will turn their Course Selection Sheets into their Math teacher. Next Friday, March 13, PCHS Counselors will visit Pathfinder Math classes to support 8th graders' course request entry into MiStar. 

This process is a great opportunity for you to support your student! 

• What is your student hoping to do after high school? 
• Are the courses they are selecting aligned with their future goals? 
• Is there a course that would appropriately stretch your student and help prepare them for their next step?
