Hello Pirate Families and "It's back to winter" Friday👎!

As they say, it was fun while it lasted as the spring-like weather was a nice reprieve and almost tricked us into thinking winter was gone, but if you have stepped outside recently, it is becoming apparent that is definitely not the case. It's also hard to believe that we are entering our last week of February already and will be looking forward to brighter (and longer) days ahead, with spring break not too far off in the horizon.

It is about this time of year that I begin getting questions from parents about next year's school calendar as some are already looking to make vacation plans for 2027 and at this time, the only information I can share is the Livingston County common calendar (pictured below) that provides the dates for our holiday and spring breaks through 2030. Next year's school calendar will be discussed and developed in collaboration with our PEA as part of our upcoming contract negotiations and will be shared as soon as we are able.

We are incredibly proud of the partnership we’ve built with Reaching Higher over the past five years as we continue expanding meaningful leadership development opportunities for our students.

While summer is still a few months away, camp spots tend to fill quickly. We encourage you to consider registering early for one of the two camps listed below for students in grades 2nd - 5th, including one that will be hosted right here at Country Elementary.

Our PCS Music Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser and Business Expo is just 8 days away and there is still time for our local businesses to reserve a booth at the Expo that will not only help market said business, but will also help support our Pirate musicians as application fees go directly to our program and kids. Thank you and GO PIRATES!! 🏴‍☠️🎻🏴‍☠️🎺🥁🏴‍☠️

We are gearing up for our 2026-27 Kindergarten round-up next week at both Country and Farley Hill Elementary and are so excited to meet many of our incoming Pirate Kindergartners and Pre-school students and families!
