Dear Pinckney Families...

Is your student-athlete interested in playing sports at the college level? If so, we invite you to attend our upcoming Beyond High School:  Navigating the College Recruitment Process event on Tuesday, November 18 at 7:00 PM at Pinckney Community High School (Room F111).

The session is designed for student-athletes (and their parents) who want to better understand the college recruiting process and learn strategies to maximize exposure to college coaches. Event facilitators include PCHS teacher/former coach Alecia Sweeney and PCHS athletic director Matt Seidl. The session will last approximately 60 minutes.

We'll discuss:

• The differences between NCAA Divisions 1, 2, 3; NAIA; & NJCAA
• Strategies to promote yourself to college programs
• What college coaches are looking for
• Academic and eligibility requirements
• How to find the right fit -- athletically, academically, socially & financially
