Dear PCHS Families:

Pinckney Community Schools is SO excited to provide a leadership class for our 9-12th-grade students at Pinckney Community High School. This class will help develop students’ leadership skills, meet other students at Pinckney High School, and become leaders of their own lives.  This class will be held this fall on mostly Wednesdays during the day at the high school. The curriculum used for this class is Reaching Higher, a leadership development training for young people. This class is limited to 25 students and will be taught by Sandy Buczek (Navigator Dean of Academic Support) and Basia Kiehler (Assistant Superintendent of Instruction at PCS).

Your students will experience the following:

  • easy-to-use tools and practical strategies that help build self-esteem,

  • foster positive life choices,

  • improve communication, and

  • promote a healthier learning experience at school

Reaching Higher has been used in many schools across Michigan with overwhelmingly positive reviews by students and parents. To learn more about Reaching Higher, visit reachinghigherinc.org

We have reached out to all students at PCHS to sign up for this class however, we are also reaching out to you in case your child needs encouragement to sign up. Please fill in this google form to register your child for the Reaching Higher Leadership Class by Friday, October 10. This camp is limited to 25 students therefore registration will be on a first-come-first-served basis.

"Why You Should Enroll in Reaching Higher" is a short montage of recent Reaching Higher graduates explaining why every student should take the class.  https://youtu.be/6ixraFH8wIE
