Hello Pirate Family and Happy "Teacher Appreciation Week" Friday!

I know I’m not alone in saying that we, as parents, deeply appreciate and value our incredible Pirate teachers and staff—not just this week, but every single day of the school year. This week, however, gives us a special chance to show that appreciation in meaningful ways—through heartfelt cards, kind emails, social media shoutouts, and, of course, lots of delicious food!

Many of us can recall the lasting impact our own teachers had on our lives, and it’s truly an honor to have such dedicated, compassionate, and inspiring educators guiding, mentoring, and nurturing our children. It really does take a village—a village of caring Pirates—to raise and support our kids.

A huge thank you to all the parents, PTO groups, and community partners who have gone above and beyond to make our Pirate teachers and staff feel celebrated this week! 🏴‍☠️♥️

As our Pirates continue to shine this spring sports season, we’re excited to spotlight and congratulate our incredible Pirate Girls Track and Field team for capturing their second consecutive SEC White Championship! Their dominant performance yesterday against Chelsea, Adrian, Tecumseh, Jackson, and Ypsilanti included several meet records and showcased the strength and determination of our athletes.

A special shoutout goes to seniors Madison Cooke and Nadia Jacobs for etching their names into the Pinckney record books with standout performances that also place them among the all-time greats in Livingston County history. Madison became the county’s second-fastest outdoor 400-meter runner, claiming the SEC White title with an outstanding time of 57.46 seconds. Nadia set a new school record in the pole vault with an incredible mark of 10 feet, 7 inches.

We’re so proud of our Pirate athletes and wish them all the best as they head into Regionals next week—Go Pirates! 🏴‍☠️ 💪

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make last week's Prom an unforgettable experience for our students—it was truly a night they’ll remember for a lifetime.

A big shoutout to Mrs. Marcy, Mrs. Bishop, Mrs. Kroll, Mrs. Maurer, Deputy Gwinn, Mr. Patrick, Mrs. McBride, Mr. McMurray, and our incredible Student Council for all of their hard work and dedication in creating such a magical evening.

We’re also grateful to the staff at Horse and Feathers for their outstanding hospitality—the service, the setting, and the food were all top-notch and helped make the night even more special for our Pirates.

We are so lucky to be part of such a supportive community—and we love our PIRATES! 🏴‍☠️♥️

As we head into the weekend, we have a special opportunity to honor and celebrate all of our incredible Pirate moms—and truly, all the amazing women who selflessly dedicate their time, love, and energy to nurturing their families, including our extended Pirate family here in PCS.

Just like our teachers and staff, our Pirate moms are appreciated every single day of the year. But this Sunday, we hope they feel that appreciation even more deeply. We simply couldn’t do what we do without their unwavering support, strength, and care.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful moms in our community—you are loved and celebrated! 🏴‍☠️♥️🏴‍☠️♥️
