Hello Pirate Families and Happy "DayLight Savings" Friday!
It's hard to believe that tomorrow (well, really Sunday at 2am) will mark the time in which we unfortunately will lose an hour of sleep, but in return, will gain more daylight at the end of the day, which definitely makes it feel like spring is just around the corner. Along with this, we will be entering our spring sport season on Monday as our ball fields, tracks, tennis courts, soccer fields, etc. will begin filling up with many of our Pirate student-athletes, which just adds to the feeling of a "new beginning" that spring can provide as we transition from mud season to allergy season 🤧.

I want to thank everyone who took time this past Saturday to come out and support our Pirates, our music program and our community as it was so amazing seeing so many families enjoying this special day together! I also want to say "Thank you" for the many hands that helped put this enormous event together, especially PCS Music Booster President, Jodie Colone, Cherie Rowse and the entire team of Boosters and parent volunteers as we couldn't do it without you!
A big Pirate shout out also goes out to our Food Service Director, Chris Haskin and his team who did an awesome job both preparing and serving some of the best spaghetti in town! I also want to thank our local PPHH Chamber of Commerce President, Rick Beaudin for once again, planning and organizing the Business Expo as this event directly supports our music program.
Lastly, I want to express my deep admiration and appreciation for our entire team of PCS music teachers who are committed to teaching, mentoring and nurturing our Pirate musicians as their love for music and our students is definitely life changing. Thank you to Chris Sutton, Rachael Green, David Rega and Kevin Welling as this event would not be possible without your leadership and service. GO PIRATES!!

I would like to share a great opportunity that is open to all our parents throughout Livingston County as we hope to connect and learn together about many of the technology-based challenges facing our children that are not only impacting their learning, but more important, their overall well-being and mental health. A tremendous team of presenters, both nationally and locally, will be sharing their insights and support in an effort to help put our kids in the best possible position to be healthy, happy, safe and successful. Please use the provided QR code to register (child care will be provided!).
Last night at PCHS, our tremendous group of Pirate Thespians, better known as the ACT2 Theatre Company, opened their spring musical performance with the production of Little Shop of Horrors. If you have never been to one of their productions, I highly encourage making time to come out in support as you will be thoroughly entertained as the talent of our students is second to none! Dates and times of upcoming performances are listed in the flyer below.
As we are wrapping up our winter sports season, we want to recognize PCHS Sophomore, Aubrey Hughes as she is making history today as Aubrey is the 1st girl in PINCKNEY to ever advance to Wrestling State Finals!!! We are all so incredibly proud of her and the hard work she has put in all season! We are all rooting for you and wish you nothing but the best this weekend!! Go get em Aubrey and GO PIRATES!!🏴☠️💪🏴☠️💪
Have a great weekend Pirates as it definitely feels like we are moving out of the doldrums of winter as the temperatures may be flirting with temps close to 70 degrees the next few days and although we know it won't last, we will take what we can get! Take care of yourselves and more importantly, take care of one another and as always, GO PIRATES!! 🏴☠️🏴☠️
