Good morning Pirates!
I am excited to share that at yesterday's Board of Education meeting, Daniel Ferreira was approved to serve as our new assistant principal at Pinckney Community High School as our current AP, Frank McMurray will be retiring at the conclusion of this school year. Mr. Ferreira brings a wealth of experience as both a music teacher and educational leader with credentials that include a Bachelors in Music Education from Loyola University, Masters Degree in Music History and Ethnomusicology (the study of music in its social & cultural contexts) from Temple University and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Sacred Heart University.
Mr. Ferreira has served as a teacher and administrator in both private and public schools in Connecticut, most recently serving as the assistant principal at Waterbury Arts Magnet School. He and his family are extremely excited to be moving to Michigan, especially his wife who attended Pinckney Community Schools her entire educational career, graduating from PCHS in 1997.
