Hello Pirate Family and Happy "It's Almost Thanksgiving Break" Friday!!

As an educator for almost 30 years, I can honestly say that Thanksgiving Break is one of the most anticipated times of the school year as it not only provides a much needed rest from what has been an extremely busy, yet great start to the school year that started waaayyy back in August 😉, but more importantly, it provides us the time to truly reflect on the many blessings we have here at PCS, within our community and our country. As a parent of four Pirates, two of which have since graduated, I have always been so appreciative and grateful for the immense support, encouragement, accountability and love the adults of PCS have and continue to provide all of our students.

I would like to share my gratitude for Colonel Don Packard for his continuous support in providing all of our 3rd graders with their very own dictionary as for many, it may have received their very first hard copy dictionary! Colonel Packard has purchased and distributed over 8000 dictionaries over the past 20 years and as previous students have shared, is something they utilize and treasure for years to come. Thank you Don for the support, commitment and love you have for our Pirates as we appreciate you!! GO PIRATES!!

This past weekend, our amazing ACT2 Theatre Troupe at PCHS opened their fall production of Little Women and if you are looking for something to do this weekend (outside of getting ready for Thanksgiving), I encourage you to support our talented students as they have three performances scheduled and know they would love to see you there!

The Class of 2027 is sponsoring a shoe drive in which gently used shoes can be donated. All types of shoes, boots, dress shoes, cleats, tennis shoes in all sizes and colors will be accepted and can be dropped off at the high school & Pathfinder offices, just look for the specially marked boxes.

We’re excited to see our students on Monday and Tuesday next week before the holiday break! Wishing everyone in our Pirate community a very blessed Thanksgiving. Thank you for trusting us with your children—we truly value your support and are grateful for the strong partnership we share with our community.

Have a great weekend and GO PIRATES!!
