Hello Pirate Families and Happy "End of 1st Quarter" Friday!

Today marks the official end of our 1st quarter marking period and as I have shared in previous communications, it has been a strong start to the year and we are looking forward to keeping the positive momentum moving forward as we enter into the next chapter of our journey together! I am once again proud to announce that both our Girls & Boys Varsity Cross Country teams claimed the SEC Championship titles at yesterday's meet as this tremendous group of PIrate runners continue to carry the mantle of our program and have no doubt they will achieve several more accomplishments as they enter into regionals, districts and the state meet. LET'S GO PIRATES!! 🏴‍☠️🏃

Although our Pirate Varsity Football Team has not had what some may consider to be a successful season based on their record, the amount of hard work, perseverance, positive attitude and grit they have demonstrated in having to overcome several key injuries is something we should all be proud of as they have truly exemplified the values of being a Pinckney Pirate. We hope our community will join us this evening at Pirate Stadium for what will be their final home game of the season as our PIrates take on the Cavaliers from Carrollton at 7 p.m. in which we will be honoring our senior players, cheerleaders, dancers and band members before the game, along with honoring those in our PIrate family who have been touched by breast cancer as our students will be dressed in pink, along with raising money for the Susan G. Komen organization. Thank you to everyone who has continued to support our Pirates as we appreciate you!! GO PIRATES!! 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️

As we are in the midst of the Halloween season, there is an upcoming opportunity to help support our PCHS Mock Trial team and ACT2 drama troupe as they jointly host a cemetery walk on November 1st at the Pinckney Historical Cemetery. The cemetery walk is a guided tour where visitors explore the cemetery and learn about the lives of those buried there through performances by our student actors. Tours are every 15 minutes from 5-8 and the tour is family friendly!! Please see the attached document for more information and to sign up.

Lastly, I would like everyone to be aware that we have changed the starting time of Monday's upcoming Board of Education meeting to 6:30 p.m. instead of the normal 7 p.m. starting time. I want to thank our Pirate community for the support and encouragement we receive as it means a lot to us and hope everyone has a fantastic weekend and as always, GO PIRATES!! 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️
