Problem with latch key function at least on Cameroon keyboard

Hi,

After updated my own custom Côte d'ivoire/Ivory Caost keyboard, on Fedora 43 (Beta as of now), I noticed the latch key is not working correctly.  Strangely I also noticed that this problem appears on Gnome Desktop but not on Sway or Hyprland.  (All 3 wayland based)   

Just wondering if anything similar noticed with other keyboards or possible causes or sollutions.
