Update devices using Tap to Pay on iPhone to iOS 18.0.1+

We are reaching out about an important update to Tap to Pay on iPhone’s minimum OS requirements. Starting September 16, 2025, Apple will require all Tap to Pay on iPhone users to be on iOS version 18.0.1 or above.
Why is this happening?
Currently Tap to Pay on iPhone is supported on iOS versions at or above 16.4, depending on the country. Apple recently announced that Tap to Pay on iPhone will only be supported on iOS versions for one year after the version release date. Going forward, Apple will notify any users with devices running outdated versions at least 3 months before ending support. What you need to do
We recommend updating the devices you use to accept payments via Tap to Pay on iPhone to at least iOS 18.0.1. After September 16, any attempt to connect a device running an earlier iOS version will produce an “OS version not supported” error.
