Hello,

We’re writing to let you know about some important updates regarding Tap to Pay on Android (TTPA) payments beginning with the release of our latest Terminal SDK version (3.3.0):

  • Devices running Android 10 or older will not support TTPA payments on SDK version 3.3.0.

  • Starting April 15, 2024, no version of the Terminal SDK will allow any device running Android 10 or older to take TTPA payments.

We’re making this change because Android 10 does not meet our latest security standards. To avoid disruption to TTPA payments, all businesses using TTPA will need to update their devices to Android 11 or higher before April 15.

If you have any questions, we’re here to help.
