Stripe Terminal iOS SDK beta version update

Hello,

We are reaching out about a required update to the Stripe Terminal iOS SDK.

Starting November 1st 2023, all Stripe Terminal iOS SDK version 3.0 beta will no longer be able to connect to Tap to Pay on iPhone readers. If you are using a stable version of the SDK, you must update to version 2.23 or later to keep accepting contactless payments on iPhone. If you are using a beta version of the SDK, you must update to version 3.0 or later. If you are running on a stable version of the SDK 2.23 and above no action is required.

To prevent any potential disruption to your ability to process transactions for Tap to Pay on iPhone, please ensure you are using a stable version of 2.23 or later. We always recommend updating to the latest stable version for the best experience. Let us know if you have any questions or need help updating your SDK version.

Hello,

We wanted to provide a correction on dates and enforcement. The November 1st deadline only applies if you are operating Tap to Pay on iPhone outside of the US. If you are operating Tap to Pay on iPhone within the US, the deadline is February 1, 2024.

Sorry for the confusion, so long as you are on a stable, non-beta version of 2.23 and above you are fine and do not need to make any changes.

Usually it occurs the other way where you urgently need to update to a higher version?

Can I get some clarification on why this is required?
