I have hit an error on the Stripe API that is causing me a great deal of concern:

"Customer [x] already has the maximum 25 current subscriptions"

My use case really requires that customers should be able to have more than 25 subscriptions.  Have spent so much time integrating Stipe...I really don't want to throw it all away now.  Any help much appreciated.

Hi Andrew,

Sorry that you're running into trouble here. We can whitelist your
account to support as many as 250 active subscriptions per customer.
There are a few performance caveats that we need to iron out, hence
the relatively aggressive current cap at 25. In particular, our
current semantics are to cancel each active subscription when you
delete a customer, which was proving to have unacceptable performance
characteristics in the face of a large number of active subscriptions.

If deleting customers won't be an important part of your workflow, I'd
be happy to turn on support for up to 250 subscriptions on your
account. Let me know!

Excellent!  Thanks Jim.  That would be terrific if you could change to 250 - that should get me there as I am happy to cap active items at that level.  Deleting customers should not be an issue...those being deleted will likely have far fewer than 250 active subscriptions as well.  If I encounter performance issues I will refactor though to invoice by customer rather than by item but I would really like to avoid that because of the information loss from the customer's perspective.

Please let me know if you need any identifying account information.

Is there still a limit on the number of Subscriptions a single Customer can have?

We enable a single reseller Customer to pay for the Subscriptions of their individual end users via Invoice, and we can't find any documentation to confirm that the number of Subscriptions of a single Customer is unlimited. thanks.

Hello Carter,

The limit is still at 25 subscriptions per customer today for performance reasons. Since then though we have added the ability to have more than one plan per subscription which is documented here: https://stripe.com/docs/subscriptions/multiplan

If you have any follow up questions, I'd recommend talking to our support team directly to better understand your business model and what we can do to support it. you can reach out to them here: https://support.stripe.com/email

Best,
Remi
